In this Bible class, plan to look at numerous Old Testament prophecies that predicted the coming of Jesus, the Messiah. These prophecies were very important during the 1st Century in evangelism; to show God’s redemptive plan through Jesus and that He is the Messiah. It wasn’t just the early Christians, but Jesus also placed great importance on these prophecies, as seen in Matthew 5:17 {ESV}. Students will have a clearer understanding of God’s redemptive plan in order to grow in faith and to be able to share these messianic prophecies with others, so that they can also learn to trust in God’s sovereignty.
