James is written to all Christians. It is one of the finest, richest, and most practical letters of the New Testament. It was written to provide a wealth of important principles for the Lord’s church and to help persuade brothers and sisters to grow and mature in Christ. Christians need to be single-minded in serving the Lord. Through James, the Lord does more than just encourage perseverance through trials; he also stresses that the result of difficult times can produce a holy lifestyle, maturity, and unity in the church. It all begins with humility: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up” (James 4:10). The goal of this class is to encourage everyone to read James and to learn important principles about living the Christian life, both in the Lord’s church and the world we live in..
