This is a unique history class. It’s about the Lord’s church, which was built by Jesus, who promised that “the gates of Hades will not overcome it” (Matt. 16:18). The Church has prevailed because God is in control and has all authority. So, we can learn from both the faithful and the apostates who’ve lived dur
ing the last two millenniums. There is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9).

This class will help us gain an understanding of Christian history, warnings about how some departed from the Truth, understanding the beginning of denominations, and examine some their beliefs (whether they are right or wrong).

Deviations from biblical doctrine is usually gradual and very serious. This is why it behooves us to learn history, so that we do not repeat their mistakes.
